From the Archives - Term 1 Update

Term 1 has been a wonderfully busy time in the Archives.

Early in the term, we celebrated Foundation Day, and it was lovely to welcome so many alumni to our morning tea. The Archives prepared a Foundation display featuring photographs from the 1960s, which was enjoyed by all. Later in the term, we curated a photo and memorabilia display, along with a slideshow presentation, for the Penturion Club lunch.

We have also been actively receiving donations from our alumni community. Recent contributions include a rare set of bookends from the Gibb Family (a Foundation family); blazers, documents and Pen magazines from the Haley Family (Phillip 1991, Mark 1994 and James 1997); a 1962 issue of the Gazette Newsletter from Warwick Barton (1966); and several treasures from Doug Thring (1973), including a student diary, school project, Film Society membership ticket, and a reunion program.

We are always seeking memorabilia—such as badges, programs, uniform pieces and other unique items—to enrich the Peninsula Grammar Archives Collection. If you have something you would like to donate, please feel free to get in touch.
