We are thrilled to share the incredible news that the Old Peninsula Football Club has secured the Division 1 Men’s Premiership, defeating Ormond in a commanding performance at Box Hill City Oval on Sunday, September 14.

After three close losses to Ormond earlier in the season, the Pirates turned the tide when it mattered most, delivering a 74-point win in the Grand Final — a momentous achievement that marks the club’s first senior premiership since joining the VAFA in 1980.

Match Highlights:

  • Final Score: Old Peninsula 19.13.127 def. Ormond 6.17.53
  • Nathan Jones led the charge with 6 goals, showcasing his AFL pedigree and leadership.
  • Bailey Payze and George Fletcher added 3 goals each, while the entire team displayed relentless pressure and unity.
  • The Pirates held Ormond goalless in the second quarter and never looked back.
