As Term 2 draws to a close, I’m thrilled to share that our Staff Reunion on June 1 was our most successful yet. With thanks to the OPGA Committee and the School, we welcomed a fantastic turnout and received heartfelt feedback. It was a meaningful opportunity to honour the educators who shaped us, and we’re grateful to our Principal and senior leadership team for joining us.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to celebrate 60 years of the Peninsula Grammar Cadet Unit. Alumni will be invited in Term 3 to watch the 2025 Parade on Tuesday 26 November. Former cadets are warmly invited to join us for afternoon tea at 3pm in the Pavilion, followed by the Parade at 4.30pm on the Junior School Courts. It promises to be a memorable occasion. We will also be reaching out to some former cadets and staff to invite them to the 2025 Dine-In, where we will commemorate 60 years.
On a personal note, my family recently caught up with alumnus Tim Long (’76), whose adventurous career in media, music, and yacht building was shaped by his time at Peninsula Grammar. His story is a reminder of the lasting impact of our school community.
Finally, I’m pleased to announce that Hall of Fame nominations will open soon. This is your chance to recognise alumni who have made outstanding contributions in their field, community, or to the School. Whether they’ve achieved excellence professionally, demonstrated exceptional leadership, or given back in meaningful ways — we want to hear their stories. Start thinking about who you’d like to nominate, and stay tuned for details on how to submit.
As always, thank you to our Committee and the School for your continued support.
