Dear PGS community,
As we reflect on a successful Term 3, I am once again struck by the remarkable spirit and engagement that defines the Peninsula Grammar community.
This term has been a period of significant progress and achievement, underscored by our work on our new Strategic Plan, 'Moving Forward As One.' Shaped by valuable input from our community, our Vision, Mission and Commitments will ensure each student can flourish in learning, leadership, and life. We are excited to share this with our community this week and can be found on our website.
It has been a pleasure to witness our students' continued growth and success. From our Year 3 students connecting with residents at Mount Eliza Gardens Aged Care to the impressive creative projects emerging from our ICT programs, the passion for learning is palpable across our campus.
The energy in the rehearsal room for the upcoming Middle School production of Finding Nemo Jr. is electric, promising a spectacular showcase of talent and dedication.
Our Year 6 Market Day was a wonderful celebration of entrepreneurship and teamwork, with students impressing the whole community by bringing creative and innovative business ideas to life.
Our Performing Arts continue to impress, with standout events such as the Mini Musical, Grand Music Showcase, VCE Drama production ‘Ruby Moon’, and Dance Showcase, each highlighting the strength and vibrancy of our creative community.
Our Father’s Day celebrations were full of warmth and joy, featuring past student James Rees, now a proud PGS dad, entertaining the community, while Junior School students proudly shared their school with their fathers.
A very special congratulations to our Snowsports team on an incredible week at the Victorian Interschools event. With 15 students qualifying for Nationals across 33 events and Peninsula Grammar ranked 10th Coeducational School, every participant should be immensely proud.
As for our most senior students, the Class of 2025, they have now completed all internal assessments and are preparing for their September Practice Exams. Next Term will bring wonderful Valedictory Celebrations to honour their journey and achievements alongside their families.
I was also delighted to welcome alumna Dr. Amanda Hammond (Class of 2008) to our Board of Directors, a testament to the deep, multi-generational ties that strengthen our school.
My heartfelt thanks to our wonderful staff and all who continue to enrich our community with their contributions. Together, we 'hold fast that which is good' and move confidently into an exciting future.
