Angela Scundi (Class of 2004)

Angela Scundi is from the Class of 2004, and her talent at school was always in Drama/productions. Angela was a lead in most of the plays during her school years, receiving full colours multiple times for her involvement in the school productions, as well as awards for Drama and Dance every year. Angela was also a prefect.

Angela’s involvement in productions at Peninsula ignited her passion to continue studying drama/dance and so she completed her studies at NIDA in musical theatre, as well as completing studies in film/TV and singing. She has created an incredible career within the industry since then, with experience ranging from film, TV and commercial to her true love of musical theatre where she has performed in over 19 shows.  Angela now offers music theatre workshops through the ‘Art In Schools’ program. Most recently, Angela toured for the hit show ‘Come From Away’, alongside musician Bryn Bowen from the Class of 2001. As a mum of two, she is a busy woman!

We were honoured this month, to host Angela for a special production masterclass at Peninsula. Next year, Peninsula's production is Chicago, which was last performed by the school in 2002, where Angela played 'Velma'. This week, the cast were lucky to have a masterclass delivered by Angela where students were guided through warm up/stamina and breath support activities and worked on character development, choreography techniques and more. It was a special day for our students and we thank Angela for sharing her expertise and talent with us!
