Nicole Spartels (Class of 2004) - A Journey Through Music, Advocacy, and Inclusion
From the classrooms of Melbourne to the rooftops of New York, the jungles of Costa Rica to the laneways of London, Nicole Spartels’ journey has been anything but linear—and that’s exactly how she likes it.
A proud member of the Class of 2004, Nicole has always been a multi-passionate creative. Her path has woven together music, education, and creative expression, culminating in the founding of Bliss Kids Studio—a nurturing space on the Mornington Peninsula where children explore musical expression, build confidence, and feel truly seen.
Nicole’s passion for teaching blossomed alongside her love of music. As a late-discovered AuDHD woman navigating chronic illness, she brings deep empathy and insight to her work. At Bliss Kids Studio, she creates inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming environments where children thrive both creatively and emotionally. Her approach is rooted in authenticity, sensory awareness, and the belief that every child deserves to feel safe and celebrated.
Alongside Bliss Kids, Nicole is building Neuro-Love-Notes, an advocacy and creative platform amplifying the voices of late-identified neurodivergent adults and children who have slipped through the cracks of traditional systems. Through writing, speaking, and facilitation, she champions a culture where difference is recognised as strength and creativity becomes a pathway to healing, expression, and belonging.
From her home music studio, Nicole supports both children and adults to connect with their creativity, find their authentic voice, and even bring their ideas to life through music production. She also continues her own artistic journey—producing original music, performing in the community, and sharing music that blend soul, depth, and joy.
“One of my favourite things? Holding space for big dreams while breaking them into bite-sized, achievable steps. So you can be present with your music, express yourself authentically, and move toward your goals—whether that’s performing, songwriting, or simply self-expression in a safe, supported space. Music is medicine. And it’s a privilege to share it.”
Nicole’s work is guided by the belief that creativity and inclusion are vital to human flourishing. Through her teaching, advocacy, and art, she builds spaces where people of all ages can feel seen, supported, and inspired to express themselves authentically.
Nicole’s story is a beautiful reminder that passion doesn’t always follow a straight line—it follows curiosity, courage, and the call to create.
